Living in Tofino and being part of this beautiful coastal beach community puts Just Sandwiches on the front lines of the movement against ocean plastics and pollution. In the concept and naming of our shop “Just Sandwiches” as well as to do our part, we have implemented a Bring Your Own Beverage & Container policy on our menu. We do not sell beverages in, or deliver our sandwiches with, any single use plastics. We encourage everyone to purchase sustainable and reusable food/beverage containers to help do their part to keep our oceans healthy and clean.
The City of Tofino has made available many fresh drinking water stations for you to fill up your reusable containers for free. These stations are located all across Tofino as well as the public parking lots for Chesterman Beach and Cox Bay. Just Sandwiches not only has policies, but we also offer solutions! We know that you may not all have a refillable container to use right now. Insulated durable beverage containers can be expensive and hard to find. Just Sandwiches would like to offer an easy and inexpensive way for you to purchase your very own filled water bottle with your order if you don’t already have one. Our bottles are double walled, vacuum insulated, 350ml stainless steel beverage containers that come filled with Tofino’s pristine drinking water. We offer these bottles to you at what it costs us to purchase, clean and fill them with no profit. Promoting and supplying our BYOB&C policy is important to us, the environment and all those who share it. Thank you for your contribution and environmentally conscious actions. And always remember:

When your sandwiches are delivered they come in a biodegradable bag with BEACH CLEANUP REWARDS stamped on them in organic ink. You can use this bag to take part in our “Beach Cleanup Rewards Program”. As you’re walking the beach, take the time to look for and collect any ocean plastics you see along your way. Reuse and fill your sandwich bag up to the dotted line and we will buy back your contribution to our cleanup program. Our sandwich delivery rocket will collect your bags and pay you $1 cash for each bag.

Although Just Sandwiches offers the “Beach Cleanup Rewards Program” we do not collect or buy back your personally generated wrappers or waste. It’s your personal responsibility to be conscious of, remove and recycle any waste you’ve brought to the beach. Our initiative is to inspire the cleanup of inappropriately discarded invasive plastic pollution washed up on this beautiful shoreline we’ve come to enjoy together in Tofino.
